One of the things families mention most about Youth Martial Arts Academy is that parents do not just drop off and wait in the car. Many of them train too.
“I love that I get to train at the same gym as my son. We both love it and always look forward to it.”Diego Hernandez, member since day one
How it works
Our youngest students train in the late afternoon. Classes for ages 11 and up start right as those groups finish, so a parent can watch their child's class and then step on the mats themselves, or train in the same session as an older son or daughter. Adult classes are open to complete beginners.
Why families love it
- Shared goals. Kids and parents learn the same arts, so there is always something to talk about on the drive home.
- Parents lead by example. It is easier to ask a kid to work hard when they watch you do the same.
- One trip, everyone trains. No juggling separate activities on separate nights.
- A real workout for adults. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai are tough, full-body training.
“My favorite part is that my son gets to take classes with his dad. It's been such a special bonding experience for them.”Breanna Kay, parent
Good for body and mind
Training together means everyone gets moving, sweats, and leaves a little more tired than they came in. It also gives families something that is hard to find: an hour where everyone is focused on the same thing, working hard, and cheering each other on.
“Great coaching, great vibes, tough workouts, and real results. I recommend doing it with your kids because its a fun time training with my son.”Nyia Vang, Google review
